David Duron

Associate Pastor

I thank God for the heritage He gave me in the Lord.  I do know that it is only “by grace that you are saved through faith and that not of yourselves.”  So, I experience even greater appreciation to my God as I reflect upon His sovereignty in so orchestrating my life, that I was able to respond in faith to the Gospel of Jesus Christ after growing up in a Baptist church.  During my senior year of high school, I accepted the gospel and put my faith in Christ alone for my salvation. During two years of discipleship and being spiritually challenged at a local community college, I grew tremendously in my faith. Transferring to The Master’s College was such a blessing and I continued to grow in my faith. During my 4th year of college, I was blessed to take as my bride, Beth. We have been married since 1989. God allowed us to serve in Christian Education within a GARBC Christian School for 13 years. Within that time, the church called me on as their Junior High Pastor and I also had oversight of our mission’s expansions and short-term trips. We have enjoyed every season of raising our 3 children until now, when we are able to enjoy their spouses and our grandchildren. In 2004, God called me to serve as Associate Pastor at Meridian First Baptist Church. My wife and I enjoy investing in youth by “proclaiming to the next generation the mighty works of God.”  I rejoice over how God has considered me “faithful, putting me into the ministry.”
